As we announced earlier this month, DUA Token was recently listed on the AllianceBlock Fundrs platform, and their Private Sale is now open. Participating in the private sale gives you access to DUA Token’s first capital-raising round.

Key Points:

  • Each Funder can purchase a maximum of 20 tickets.
  • To participate, Funders need 1000 rALBT per ticket.
  • The ticket price is 500 USD per ticket, paid in Avalanche-native USDC tokens.

This getting started guide will provide step-by-step instructions on participating in the Dua presale. It is divided into three key steps and an optional step if you haven’t staked on Fundrs but want to participate;

  1. Bridging your ALBT to the Avalanche chain
  2. Whitelist your account using TIDV and request access
  3. Buying DUA token tickets
  4. Staking ALBT on Fundrs to earn reputation

STEP 1 — Bridging ALBT to the Avalanche chain

The DUA Token is issued on the Avalanche network. So the first task is to purchase ALBT and bridge them over to the Avalanche chain using the AllianceBlock Bridge. This will create wrapped ALBT (wALBT). You will need at least $0.80 worth of wALBT to undergo the KYC process later.

Before you start, make sure you have MetaMask installed in your browser and ALBT in your wallet. For your convenience, this is the wALBT address on Avalanche:

0x9E037dE681CaFA6E661e6108eD9c2bd1AA567Ecd

You getALBT using the “Get Token” Onramper widget on the Fundrs website and also on Liquid, Metamask, Bitfinex, Kucoin, Pangolin, Orion Protocol, Uniswap and PancakeSwap.

Then, follow the instructions below to bridge your ALBT to Avalanche.

If you don’t have the Avalanche network in your wallet, you can navigate to https://chainlist.org/, click “Connect Wallet” on the top right, and select your MetaMask wallet.

In the search bar, type “Avalanche” and click “Add to Metamask” your MetaMask will show a popup window; click “Approve,” and the Avalanche network will be added.

To start the bridging process, navigate to https://alliancebridge.io/, make sure “Ethereum” is selected as the base network, and click “Connect Wallet.”

Connect to the Metamask wallet account that contains your ALBT, select Avalanche C-Chain as the target network, and in the “Token to transfer” field, select “ALBT.”

In the “Amount” field, type the number of tokens you want to bridge. Remember that you will need at least $0.80 worth of wALBT in your wallet account for gas fees during the KYC process later.

Click “Next” and confirm the transaction in MetaMask. Now we need to claim our wrapped ALBT (wALBT) on Avalanche. To do this, first, go to MetaMask and select “Avalanche Network C-Chain” as the main network.

Go back to https://alliancebridge.io/ and select “Avalanche C-Chain” from the network menu on the top right. Click the “Connect Wallet” button beside the network menu and connect to your MetaMask wallet.

Click “Claim” in the AllianceBlock Bridge interface. Wait between 10–15 minutres for your bridged tokens to be updated. Then click “Claim” again and confirm the transaction in MetaMask, you will then receive the bridged wALBT in your Avalanche wallet account.

If you don’t have any ALBT to bridge, follow the next guide in getting ALBT.

Using the Onramper Widget on the Fundrs Website

You can purchase ALBT directly using the Onramper widget on Fundrs. We recently created an article that includes a step-by-step guide outlining the process.

There are four simple steps to follow:

  • Get Tokens
  • Exchange Fiat
  • Receive Tokens
  • Optional Swap

You can follow the step-by-step process through this article.

If you’d like to purchase USDC using the Onramper widget, you can use the same process as above and other options outlined below.

To get USDC on Avalanche:

You can purchase USDC on Avalanche through the “Get Token” widget on the Fundrs website.

You can also purchase AVAX on Avalanche Core and Pangolin Exchange, and swap AVAX for USDC on Avalanche Core, Trader Joe, or Pangolin Exchange.

For users with USDC on Ethereum

You can bridge USDC from Ethereum to Avalanche using the official Avalanche Bridge. You will receive USDC.e on Avalanche.

You can then swap USDC.e to USDC through Avalanche Core, Trader Joe, or Pangolin Exchange.

STEP 2 — Undergo KYC in AllianceBlock TIDV and request access to DUA Token

Now that your ALBT is in your wallet and on the correct chain, we can start to carry out the KYC process on TIDV. To complete this step, you must install a desktop browser with MetaMask and have both wALBT and AVAX in your wallet. You will also need your passport or ID card to complete the KYC process. Please note driver's licenses do not pass; you must use either a passport or an ID card issued by the country you are a citizen in.

Undergoing KYC in TIDV

To undergo KYC in TIDV, there are six key steps:

  • Connecting Wallet to TIDV
  • Generating Encryption Key Pairs
  • KYC Verification Process
  • Providing Identification Documents and Liveliness Check
  • Verifying Information and Amending Personal Details
  • Submitting Verification, Downloading KYC Information, and the KYC Dashboard

Connecting Wallet to TIDV

Navigate to https://www.id.allianceblock.io/ and click “Connect to MetaMask”

Generating Encryption Key Pairs

Users who have connected to TIDV for the first time will be asked to generate an encryption key pair that will be used to protect their KYC data locally. The TIDV website and platform only store users’ KYC data on the browser’s local storage and are not transferred over the internet. GBG processes the information for KYC verification but never keeps it on their servers.

After this initial process, every time users connect to TIDV, they will be asked to decrypt that key pair using their wallet, to access or update their locally-stored KYC information, if necessary.

The user’s wallet will pop up several times to request the wallet’s encryption public key and then a decryption and signature request.

KYC Verification Process

The “Overview” page lets users initiate the KYC process or restore their previously-saved KYC information via an exported file. Please read through the overview and guidelines presented below..

Key information to remember:

  • wALBT and network-native tokens are required to pay for the KYC process and associated gas fees. Users must have at least US$ 0.80 worth of ALBT in their wallets.
  • GBG, our official KYC partner and provider, will process and authenticate the information submitted on the TIDV website.
  • GBG only reviews users’ information to verify its authenticity and will never store any information or documentation on its servers.
  • To continue with the KYC process, users will receive a prompt from their wallets for a signature request, permission to access wALBT in their wallets, and for gas fee payments for the process.

To continue with the KYC process, users will receive a prompt from their wallets for a signature request, permission to access wALBT in their wallets, and for gas fee payments for the process.

Providing Identification Documents and Liveness Check

Upload your passport or national identity card (please note driver’s licenses are not accepted for the KYC verification), and upload a selfie using your phone by following the on-screen instructions. Click “Next” to confirm.

For identity documents, users can only use passports or official ID cards from the country where they are a citizen. To proceed, tap on the “Autocapture” on mobile and position the identification document within the frame.

For best results, please ensure that the document is in clear focus and has good lighting with minimal flare. The document must have all four corners shown and all important information unobstructed. If the document capture is not successful on the first try, please readjust the positioning of the document in the frame, and try again.

After the identity document has been successfully processed, users will have to go through a liveliness check to verify that they are the user. This is done through a selfie with an unobstructed view of their faces. Users are advised to remove their eyeglasses when taking a selfie for better results. Again note that lighting and focus are essential: if users don’t have clear lighting, then the selfie image will need to be retaken

Users will be directed to a summary screen of all information processed from the identification document provided. Once this shows up on mobile, the TIDV website on the desktop will reflect the same information presented on mobile.

Verifying Information and Amending Personal Details

On the “Personal Details” page, users can verify and amend the information processed in the previous step. Users must go through all the fields and check if the correct information has been captured, such as their first, middle and last names, etc. The input fields will have a red outline if there are errors or pending verification.

In the next screen, users can optionally fill out their address information. While this is optional, updating the “Country of residence” is important. Users can select a country of residence other than their nationality as provided in the identity document they have submitted in the previous step.

To proceed, users can click on “Next” and receive a prompt from their wallet to sign the information they’ve submitted.

Submitting Verification, Downloading KYC Information, and KYC Dashboard

On the “Verification” page, users must send their encrypted KYC information to GBG for verification. Once GBG verifies the KYC information, they will send back an encrypted summary of the report, signatures for the original document and attachments, and an “ID pack” for Saltpack/Nucypher.

Please note that AllianceBlock cannot access encrypted KYC data, and encrypted and verified KYC information is only stored on the user’s browser. When sending KYC information to Fundrs Seeker startups, this information remains encrypted and can only be decrypted by the requesting application.

On the “Summary” page, users can back up their encrypted KYC information. Since information is only stored in the user’s browser, when the browser’s cache is cleared or when logging in using a different browser, they won’t have access to their KYC information. To back up the encrypted verified KYC information, users can download their encrypted ID summaries, which they can import again into TIDV in the future.

Now that you have your ALBT in your wallet, on the correct chain, and have also completed the TIDV process, you can request access to dua and get ready to participate in the token sale.

Requesting Access to dua

Now that you have completed the TIDV process, you can use this ID to request access to dua. On the TIDV home screen select ‘Go to Projects Page’, this will take you to the project page where you select “Request Access” for the DUA token, users can send their encrypted and verified KYC information to a project listed on the TIDV platform.

The next screen will show a list of Encryption Solutions that users can choose from in submitting their information. TIDV supports Saltpack and Nucypher as encryption solutions. For the “Dua Token” project, users can select Saltpack to proceed.

Once users click on “Next,” they will receive a prompt from their wallets to sign the transaction of sending the KYC results to the project and pay for the gas fees. Again, AllianceBlock has no access to the encrypted and verified KYC information that users send to projects, and their information is encrypted when sent to the project.

Once the transactions are signed and approved, users can see the status of their submission on the page. The status will read “Pending” or “Approved”.

If there is issues with the TIDV process or requesting access to dua token

High level result — Refer

If users get a High-level result — Refer, do not request access to the DUA Token project yet.

Instead, users are advised to go through the KYC process again, this time making sure to have good lighting, no glare on the document, and holding their phone / camera as steady as they can. Most errors come from inconsistencies between the document provided and the selfie taken for the liveness check. Lighting is extremely important, if the lighting is poor the selfie likely won’t pass.

If users have done this twice and still get the same result, after requesting access to DUA Token; please get in touch with the dua team at office@duafoundation.nl, with the subject KYC result — High-level — Refer and include your wallet address in the email. The dua team will help you on a case by case basis.

STEP 3 — Buy DUA token tickets

Now that we have completed KYC and have staked ALBT, we are now ready to purchase DUA token tickets. To complete this step, you will need rALBT and USDC in your wallet.

If you don’t have rALBT yet, go to Step 4, and then come back.

Navigate to the Dua Token page on Fundrs: https://www.fundrs.app/project/43114/7

Click the “Connect Wallet” button at the top right of the window and select your MetaMask wallet.

On the right-hand side, click “Buy Ticket”.

A new window will popup, select the number of tickets you would like to purchase using the slider that reads “Number of tickets”. The details of your purchase will be indicated in the fields at the top right of the popup window.

Select “Burn rALBT” to use your rALBT to purchase the ticket. After this, the “Buy ticket” button on the bottom right.

Confirm the transaction in MetaMask.

STEP 4 — Stake ALBT on Fundrs to earn reputation

If you haven’t staked ALBT on Fundrs yet, you will need to do so in order to participate in the token sale. To access a ticket and participate in the DUA presale, you need to stake ALBT on the fundrs platform and earn reputation. You need a minimum of 1,000 rALBT to participate in the dua token sale.

In a browser window, navigate to www.fundrs.app and click “Stake ALBT”:

When prompted, connect to your MetaMask wallet.

Choose the amount of ALBT you wish to stake, and click “Approve”.

The above steps show you how you can participate in the dua token sale, which is the first project to be listed on Fundrs, a new way to raise capital in a peer-to-peer fully-decentralized form. More projects will be listed in the coming months, bookmark the step by step guide above and look out for future opportunities on Fundrs.
