We held our first monthly AMA in our Telegram group on Monday, hosted by our CEO Rachid and our CTO Matthijs. If you missed it, here is a review of some of the most important points discussed. If you would like to read the AMA through in its entirety — and there were a lot of great questions asked! — then you can find it here.

The launch of the AllianceBlock Data Tunnel: Powering the New Data Economy

Matthijs revealed the launch of our new Data Tunnel product website and simultaneously confirmed the imminent launch of the Data Tunnel MVP. The Data Tunnel is set to bring huge benefits to the decentralized data economy, with data providers able to publish their data on a decentralized marketplace that Oracles will also be able to connect into.

A preview of the AllianceBlock Data Tunnel marketplace

This product, like all of the 7 products in development, will see all payments completed by using ALBT. This revenue will be shared with data publishers. The Data Tunnel will be the Oracle of Oracles and will power the new data economy. To see a sneak peak of the product website ahead of the MVP launch, visit here!

More product launches to come

Rachid noted that Q2 and Q3 were set to be some of AllianceBlock’s busiest months yet, with multiple new products and partners coming on board. This included the forthcoming launch of Trustless KYC, Data API, the decentralized bridge, and expanding the Data Tunnel to support at least four chains.

This decentralized bridge, set to launch in Q2, will support any source and target chain, with ALBT holders able to vote for new chains to be added through a forthcoming DAO.

Expanding the team and developer community

The CEO also revealed several new announcements, including a wave of new hires, with 5 executive-level positions and at least 20 developers coming on board — more details to follow in the coming weeks. He also announced the sponsorship of a code academy and a hackathon. And while the team have been heads down building, with the launch of the first products will also come a greater focus on marketing.

Matthijs also spoke as to the importance of getting third-party developers to build on top of AllianceBlock, with an AllianceBlock for Developers portal launching soon to help interested builders get started.

Surprise reveal: Meet AllianceBlock Funder

Just one more thing…in addition to everything else shared throughout the AMA, Rachid dropped the AllianceBlock Funder, a new product that has been in development since December. Seedrs + crypto = Funder.

Meet AllianceBlock Funder

It will allow both crypto and TradFi investors, including private banks and wealth managers, to fund start-up projects, while HNWIs will be able to pledge their real-world assets as collateral for P2P-funded loans. Not only that, but financing will be backed by real assets and structured loans leveraging AllianceBlock’s unique implementation of NFT technology. Funder is another example of how AllianceBlock is bridging DeFi and TradFi — and there’s plenty more to come.

These are just some of the highlights of what was discussed in the AMA. Thank you to our community for asking such detailed and engaging questions in the first of our new monthly AMA series.
